Of late, life seems to be an intricate and unending series of waiting games. They just pile up on to each other and it seems like a long and endless road ahead... waits... for either or for both of us.... for manuscripts to be uploaded (and accepted), thesis to be corrected (and submitted), for the boss to be in a reasonable mood, for tricky experiments to work, for collaborations to succeed, for important emails that elude the inbox for weeks, for the frustrating black box called Visa, for the endless march towards a coveted degree, and for very important personal commitments that suffer for all of the above...
This phase comes at a wrong juncture, when the natural expectation from all family, friends and well-wishers is general 'newly-wed bliss'. Their expectations are not unjust, but it just adds up to our general frustration, which is slowly spilling over into many crevices of our day to day lives.
Yet these waits must go on... days, weeks, months, and also years almost! The only solution is to enjoy the small things in life as much as possible, live in the present, cherish the better moments and sudden plans... and patiently hope for the best. Today was one such day :-)
